SUNDAY SCHOOL

We offer a variety of Sunday School groups for all ages.  All are welcome, regardless of whether or not you worship at CPC.

Nursery

The nursery, Room 100, is designed for infants and toddlers and is staffed by parents who also have young children. At this time, the nursery is staffed only during worship services but the space is available during Sunday School hours if you would like to bring your young child while other family members attend Sunday School.

Middle School (Grades 5-8)

Middle School (grades 5-8) is led by Melissa Lawson and Kelly Showalter and is held in Room 300.

This class invites the youth to experience the fullness of the stories of the Bible through storytelling, creative reflection, and dialogue.

Open Forum

The Open Forum Class is led by Vicki Kitts and meets in the Parlor (Room 202).

This class is open to anyone who wishes to discuss Christ, faith, and scriptural references, while perusing meaningful books.

Pre-K through 1st grade

Pre-K through 1st Grade is led by Elaine Gall and is held in Room 102.

This class uses the Whirl program, which helps children understand the church year and its seasons.

Parents of 1st graders may choose this class or the 1st though 4th grade class for your child.

Coffee Hour (Grades 9-12)

Coffee Hour with High School Youth is held in the Youth Building and focuses on connecting our 9th-12th graders with various adults from our congregation. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and devotionals are available in this relaxed, conversational setting.

Practical Christian Living

Practical Christian Living is facilitated by Gary Overstreet and Bru Brubaker and meets in Fellowship Hall C.

The class is reading and discussing the books “The Gospel of Matthew” and “Hebrews,” both from Max Lucado’s Life Lessons series.

1st through 4th grade

This class is led by Sharyl Ogle and is held in Room 101.

This class also uses the Whirl program but will facilitate a deeper understanding of the church year and its seasons.

Parents of 1st graders may choose this class or the Pre-K through 1st grade class for your child.

Ladies' Bible Study

Ladies’ Bible Study, led by Ginny Ketterer and Peggy Walker, meets in the room 201.

The class is using The Present Word curriculum, which studies the theme “Covenant with God.”
